Lake Fairfax Park, Reston, Virginia (August 1999)
We returned to Lake Fairfax Park with our kids and their cousins for a two night trip in early August. I commuted to work from the park, while everyone else stayed at the park and played in the Water Mine. Going to work from the campground was great! Both nights were cool enough to sleep without the AC on. We opened every window in the camper, and I woke up to the sound of two cardinals making "chip! chip!" sounds while they scoured our campsite for food.
